Thicket Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains when Rubus Labs LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("Rubus Labs," "we," or "us"), issues refunds for Thicket subscriptions and fees. It is part of the Thicket Terms of Service at https://getthicket.com/terms.

1. Plans and Key Definitions

Thicket has three plans, billed monthly or annually (prepaid), priced per brand:

• Brand: "Brand" means one brand name, and its primary website, that you protect through Thicket. Product lines sold under that Brand's name and on its website are included at no extra cost. A sub-brand that has its own trademark or its own website counts as a separate Brand and is billed as an additional Brand.
• Successful Takedown: "Successful Takedown" and "takedown credits" have the meanings in the Terms of Service. A "Successful Takedown" means a notice you approved is filed and, within 30 days after it is filed, the target site or domain is suspended, removed, disabled, or no longer resolves, for any reason.
• Takedown credits: included credits (Protect and Agency) are used only for Successful Takedowns. Annual plans include 4 credits per brand per year. Monthly plans earn 1 credit per brand at signup, then 1 more after each completed 3-month block of paid service, up to 4 per brand per year. Monitor includes 0 takedown credits. Unused credits do not roll over and have no cash value.
• Takedown fee: $200 for each Successful Takedown beyond any included credits, or for every Successful Takedown on Monitor.

2. Annual Plans: Initial Purchase

• If you request a refund within 14 days of your initial purchase, we will refund the annual fee minus $200 for each Successful Takedown completed before the refund request, not to exceed the amount paid.
• If no takedowns were used in that period, you get a full refund.
• On Monitor, nothing extra is deducted from the annual fee, because Monitor takedowns are already charged separately at $200 each.
• $200 takedown fees charged during the period are handled under Section 5.
• After the 14-day window, annual fees are non-refundable. You keep access until the end of your paid year.

3. Annual Plans: Renewals

Annual plans renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date. We email you a reminder at least 30 days (and no more than 45 days) before each annual renewal, with the renewal date, price, and how to cancel. We give at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect.

• The same 14-day window applies after each renewal charge. If you request a refund within 14 days of a renewal charge, we will refund the renewal fee minus $200 for each Successful Takedown since the renewal (with the same Monitor treatment as Section 2).
• After that window, renewal fees are non-refundable. You can cancel online at any time from the Billing page in your dashboard to stop the next renewal.

4. Monthly Plans

• Cancel anytime online from the Billing page in your dashboard at https://dashboard.getthicket.com/billing, or by emailing [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access until then, and you are not charged again.
• No prorated refunds for partial months.
• First-month refund: if you request it within 7 days of your first monthly charge and no notice has been sent on your account, we will refund your first month.
• Monthly subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. We give at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect.

5. Takedown Fees ($200)

• Takedown fees are $200 each and are charged only for Successful Takedowns.
• Takedown fees are non-refundable once the takedown is a Successful Takedown.
• If you are charged for a takedown that was not completed, or there is a billing error, contact us and we will correct or refund the charge. Successful Takedown fees are billed monthly in arrears on your next invoice, or immediately if unbilled fees exceed $1,000 or your account is past due.

6. Beta Pricing Customers

Beta pricing is available only to brands that sign up themselves through self-serve checkout at getthicket.com or dashboard.getthicket.com on or before December 31, 2026 (11:59 PM ET). It is $900 per year for one Brand and includes everything in the Protect plan. It is not available to law firms, agencies, or Agency-plan accounts; those accounts get Agency pricing. Customers already on beta pricing when this policy takes effect keep their current $900 terms until their first renewal, whatever channel they signed up through. Beta pricing is locked until the customer's first renewal. At that renewal, the customer moves to current pricing, with at least 30 days' notice before the new price applies. Existing beta customers also keep their current refund terms until their first renewal; after that, this policy applies.

6A. Agency Pilot

The Agency pilot (30 days at $149 per brand, for 2 to 5 brands) is described in the Terms of Service, Section 8 ("Agency pilot"), and your order form. The pilot fee may be refunded in full if requested within 7 days of the pilot charge and no notice has been sent; this refund right applies only to the pilot fee and not to any later charge, including the first Agency charge after conversion. If the pilot fee is refunded, the pilot ends on the refund date and does not convert.

7. What Is Not Refundable

Except as stated above or required by law:

• Partial-year use after the applicable 14-day window, and partial months on monthly plans.
• Unused takedown credits, at the end of a term or on cancellation.
• Fees for accounts terminated for Cause (see Section 11).

Takedown outcomes depend on third parties. We do not refund subscription fees because a registrar, host, or other third party declined to act. You are never charged a takedown credit or fee for a takedown that was not completed.

8. How to Request a Refund

Email [email protected] from the email address on your account and include:

• Your company name and account email.
• The brand and charge you want refunded (date and amount).
• A short reason (optional, but it helps us improve).

We will confirm receipt and let you know the decision within 5 business days.

9. Processing Time

Approved refunds are issued through Stripe to your original payment method. Stripe usually submits refunds right away, but refunds typically take 5 to 10 business days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer. We cannot speed up processing by your bank.

When a refund of a subscription or pilot fee is issued (other than a refund to correct a billing error or duplicate charge), the related subscription or pilot ends on the refund date, and notice sending stops. Timestamped record sets and case records are handled as described in our Privacy Policy at https://getthicket.com/privacy.

10. Chargebacks

Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. We can usually resolve billing issues faster directly.

• If you file a chargeback, we may suspend your account, including monitoring and notice sending, while the dispute is open.
• If the charge was valid, we may submit records of your purchase and use of the Service to your bank through Stripe.
• We will not also refund an amount already returned to you through a chargeback.

11. Termination for Cause

If we terminate your account for Cause, we will not refund prepaid fees for the remainder of the term, except where required by law. "Cause" means (a) you or your designated approver knowingly submit or approve a false, misleading, or unauthorized notice; (b) you use the Service against domains or content where you have no rights or authority; (c) non-payment not cured within 10 days after notice; or (d) any other material breach of the Terms not cured within 15 days after written notice. The parties agree that our damages from such a termination (including onboarding and record-preservation costs and exposure to third-party claims) are difficult to estimate, and that retaining prepaid fees is a reasonable estimate of those damages and not a penalty.

If we stop offering the Service or terminate your account without Cause, we will refund prepaid fees for the unused part of your term. Refunds are calculated pro rata by the days remaining in the paid term.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Changes do not affect refund rights for charges made before the change takes effect.
